The todayscountry94one Brand New Star for 2012 is Emily Markham from Mount Kembla and our Runner-Up is Craig Woodward from Bangor. Congratulations to both these contestants for their amazing performances.
If you missed our Brand New Star Final on Friday, 27 July, you missed a great night at Central Coast Leagues Club. All ten finalists put on fantastic performances, giving our judges a very tough job. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our competition and our finalists, and a very big thank you to our wonderful sponsors who made this competition possible.
Thank you also to Gina Jeffreys who donated additional prizes giving out two Development Prizes (intensive one day workshops, at the Gina Jeffreys Singing and Performance Workshops) as well as giving each of the other finalists a two hour intensive song-writing workshop with herself and Makaylie Foodey.
The night would not have been such a success without our very personable Chairman, Adam Harvey, who did a terrific job as compere and performer. The night also saw performances by Amber Lawrence, Steve Passfield and Bryce Sainty – Amber also performed the duties of judge - along with Rod McCormack, Ron Sinclair and Makaylie Foodey. Thank you to all these people who helped make the night possible.
